Ellie Graduates From Preschool

First Day of Preschool 2011
Last Day of Preschool 2012
I don't feel like these pictures do justice to the "change" that occurred throughout this school year.  My little girl has turned into a big girl.  She is such a help with her little brothers. I seriously don't know what I would have done without her these last few months! She is kind, loving and so patient with everyone, me included! She is the first to think of others and not herself.  She loves to make crafts and save them for others.  If she would get two of anything at preschool she would always save one for Carter because she knew that it would make him happy.  It makes me sad to think of my days without her at home in the coming year.  I use to think that parents that cried when they dropped their kids off for the first day of school were insane but now I have a new understanding of what "those parents" were feeling and am even a little bit afraid that I have become one of "those parents".   Life is definitely teaching me new lessons each day!! The other night as I was reading with Ellie before bed she looked at me and said, "Mommy...I am so ready for Kindergarten! I am SO SO excited!!"  She is ready.  She has started reading, knows all of her letters and their sounds, she can count to 100 with a little help. and know her shapes. More importantly, she knows how to make good choices, without me looking over her shoulder.  She is a good listener and loves learning. Yes! Yes!! She is ready :) We love our little Ellie.  I have loved the time that I have got to spend with her as a stay at home mommy.  The time has flown by.

Spring

We were loving the warm weather that we had.  We played at the park, had pop-cycles and frozen yogurt, went on walks around the neighborhood, ran through the sprinklers, and even had Mitch spray the kids with the hose.

Watch out Summer here Carter comes!!!

Don't leave any bare skin out around Cater he will start blowing on it.  He thinks that the "farting" sound is the funniest sound EVER!! Boys??

I really don't think that Carter even cares about his binkis but we still let him have them.

My kids LOVE LOVE LOVE "Craft Time".  Ellie is so patient with Carter and for the most part lets him do everything right along with her.  He is one lucky boy to have such a patient sister.

What is better than a Grandma??? Pretty much NOTHING!!!  Mitch has been working and traveling a lot lately.  Grandma Pat has been so great to come out and stay with me and the kids while he is gone.  She reads, does puzzles, stays with the kids while I go to the store all by myself :) unloads the dishwasher, and so many other things while she is here.  Her and Ellie did 76 pages in this workbook all at one time.  My kids and I are so lucky!!!  They want her to stay longer and are always so sad when she has to leave.

Easter Weekend

The whole family at the Riverton City Easter Egg Hunt

Carter is at such a fun age.  He loved all of the Easter egg hunts.

Every year we have a neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt.  The kids absolutely love it.

This year the Easter Bunny hid 5 eggs for each kid to find, 5 pink for Ellie and 5 blue for Carter.  He also hid their Easter Baskets.  If they needed a clue to where their basket was then they would trade in an egg for a clue.  It seemed to work :)

This year the Easter bunny brought so many fun things.  Carter got Jiggler molds and Jello, fun Elmo stuff and bubbles.  Ellie got clothes for her American Girl Doll and candy, bubbles, puzzles and finger paints.

These two????? They loved laying on the floor and spitting the Easter eggs into the air as high as the could then catching them. They were both laughing hysterically.

Pretty Easter dress for a pretty girl.  She wanted her hair curly today.

Then it was off to Grandma and Grandpa Mont and Kris's house for some family time :)

Carter loves his little brother Beckham so much....sometime a little too much!

My little Bunny!!

Funny Grandpa!! (You should have seen him jumping around like the Easter Bunny, it was pretty dang funny!!)

Scary Ellie Bunny. Yeah, I don't think that my kids are going to believe in the Easter Bunny for long.
